I believe that the Scholastic Excellence Award considers GPA only, while Outstanding Achievement in Academic Life is for GPA combined with SAT scores and strength of resume. Troy scholarships are based on transcripts and SAT scores and are consistent with the University's scholarship guidelines for all students. That's probably why there are different numbers of winners from MAOT every year: 1 in '07; 5 in '08 and 3 in '09. The AU scholarship is new this year.

Is there scholarship money to the winner and runners up other than the Auburn 4 yr scholarship to the winner and why wouldn't the runners up get the Troy scholarship?
