MAOT is moving their date in 2014!

This just was sent out: We are pleased to announce that the 2014 MAOTeen National Pageant will return to Orlando, FL on: July 26 - August 2, 2014

Please mark your calendars and schedule your state programs accordingly!!!

Looks like they are taking into account the move of Miss America back into September. This actually will be easier for those states that start school in early August. Its always been an issue for them having the pageant in mid-late August.

We were told that our girl should change her talent to dance even though she is not a strong dancer because even though her monologue was good judges do not score them well. Is this true? Has anyone ever won doing a monologue? we are disappointed because we feel she does a great job at it, but we do not want to do it for talent if she will never receive a good score.

Subject: Outstanding Teen Contestants Competing for Miss

(copied this over from voy.com/197397/)

A while back I posted a list of all of the contestants who held state titles in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen program (not the predecessor) who then went on to compete at the Miss level. This is not a list of contestants who COMPETED for state teen titles, just those who went to Orlando and competed on the national level. The list got bumped off the board. Now that all state pageants but Miss VI have been held, the list is reflective of this year's results, to the best of my knowledge.

Please let me know if corrections need to be made. Thanks!

I am probably the last person to finally go look at the Tony Bowls pixs of the MAOT State Contestants and they are awful. They're horrible. HATE THEM!!!
Someone posted below that they are cute. CUTE? They are NOT cute! Most are the same angle, photographer on ladder looking down at girl. BORING. Hair and makeup - Almost all of them look alike. Just nothing different about these photos and Tony Bowls photos are always so good, no matter who shoots it. This is a mess!!!! This photographer does not even know the Tony Bowls style. I am so disappointed!

I also just spent time over the last month TRYING to find a photo of the new MAOT winner and there is none but this one crowning shot. That's it. Everyone has the same shot, even the MAOT/MAO Magazine. All the websites. BORING.

I want to see a good photo of the newly crowned MAOT Winner.

My other opinion is that IT'S TIME TO BRING BACK ZAC!!!
PLEASE!!!!
He's the best photographer MAOT ever had!

I wanted to mention that the new 2011 Teen winner is the BEST tap dancer I've seen in maybe the last 10 years or so.

Her other competitions were so-so IMO(she did win overall fitness and talent-21 girls).

Are other states having difficulty with the new contract at the state level that the state is telling girls that they are not allowed to carry any title as a local title holder into states?

I think this is a little extreme or is this just our state miscommunicating what nationals says

I am currently finishing my sophomore year in high school. I am done on June 2. My state pageant is later this month. For my onstage intro, do I say that I am a sophomore or since school is over for the year, do I say that I am a junior?
