Subject: Hair -vs- Keur

Hi Liz, Last year I went to my first Keuring with 3 of my horses... and we spent very much time with hair care and hoof polish and etc...

Finaly the judges took very little care of all that grooming mathers for what I saw... They were looking for "real things" like mouvement from the hindquater, reach of the mouvement, regularity of the mouvement... They also check for conformation, especialy top line, strong back, long legs, long & well curved neck, etc... No comment were made for hair in the entiere day at my knowledge... Theire priority were definitely aroud mouvement...

So personnaly I would not bother to much for the hair loss... but if I may I would say : Go to your arena and exercise your horse... and again... and again... and then start to practice again... and again... at different places to make sure he'll be confortable everywhere with everybody... Because you will see that the runners are pushing the horses very much... I hope it will help a bit and I wish a good Keuring with your boy !!!
