I am lucky enough to have been able to watch (and hear) mum and dad Tawny Owl and 2 chicks, grow from babies sitting in the tree waiting for food to young adults. They are still around here and I hear them every night, although I don't see as much of them now. Where I live is surrounded by woodland with loads of trees. Date Posted: 21/08/07 18:46 Oh thanks for sharing this Willow and Dragonlady. Wonderful! It reminded me of the time I saw a beautiful owl when taking the train from Cardiff to London. Was early morning and so moving to see him or her standing there on a branch. I often fall asleep listening to the owls in the nearby fields, last summer I walked at dusk and saw one flying from tree to tree - AMAZING and is so rare to actually see them. I love owls.
