Date Posted: 8/06/06 15:36 I live not a million miles from Elephant and Castle, in the picturesque neighbourhood of Clapham Park (please hear the sacasm as it is far from salubrious around here), but there is a family of urban foxes who live in a den they have dug under some shrubs in the overgrown garden behind the flats where I live. The daddy, whom we all call Rollo (I didn't name him and dunno why it's Rollo but it suits him) appears briefly in my story "Situation Vacant" in the Gaia's Garden Library. You can hear him and his wife Bernice as they mate (frequently and loudly) in the early hours and I often see them and their latest babies when I leave for work at 06:45.
