What a glorious weekend of sunshine we've had here! and the Jasmine is in full bloom just outside my kitchen door... the smell is just so divine!! rich and velvety waves of Jasmine keep rolling in through the open door..mmmmm delicious!! I did my Ripple Meditation sat on the back doorstep tonight, with waves of Jasmine washing over me..... I hope you all had peaceful, happy ripples today/night.

I've finally uploaded some new photos to the Wheel of the Year Gallery - including a few of the Jasmine of course!

Ash has also been out with his camera - and encountered a fox! You can find some of his latest pics in the Out and About Gallery

In the Library you'll find Pilgrim's "A Year and a Day" poem...

And just in case you'd missed it... : Part 3 of Susun Weed's Be Your Own Herbal Expert course was recently added to the Articles section.

Hope you like the new additions.
* Jasmine Blessings *

I love jasmine soooo much!

I don't have any wild growing near my house, but i've got some dried out I use as a kind of pot purea in the window, and sat with the windows open and the wind blowing makes the scent fill the room, it's nice.

Foxes are just amazing. Not quite as favoured by me as badgers, but they're still awesome!
I was a bit shocked to see one in the middle of the day and that was so unhindered by my presence.

The new WOTY pics are beautiful too!!

I've had a good weekend!
Hope evryone else has too.

Ash

talking of foxes... i was waiting for a bus at elephant and castle last night (oh what a lovely place that is at 11.30pm) and a little fox came padding around, totally unconcerned by the crowd of people waiting. He found some left over mcdonalds... poor thing.

Hi Lazaurite, 'Ripple Meditation' is all about sending out love, healing and peace to all (letting the energies ripple out from you) in an effort to bring about change... although there's no harm in also focusing the ripples to a certain individual / place etc...

There's a group Ripple Night at 10pm GMT on Sundays - feel free to join in! (we don't meet up, most of us live too far apart anyway lol. We ripple in our own spaces)
There's no specific way to meditate / ripple - just send out those positive healing ripples in any way you feel happiest.

Hope that made sense :-)
Blessings

Aw Mia, poor urban foxes!
'
Mine was a countryside fox, he stopped like a statue and looked really cautious then i just looked back and he *assuming it was a male fox* just kind of carried on and didn't care i was there.

I need to stay round my nans house late and take photos of the badgers at some point.

I live not a million miles from Elephant and Castle, in the picturesque neighbourhood of Clapham Park (please hear the sacasm as it is far from salubrious around here), but there is a family of urban foxes who live in a den they have dug under some shrubs in the overgrown garden behind the flats where I live.

The daddy, whom we all call Rollo (I didn't name him and dunno why it's Rollo but it suits him) appears briefly in my story "Situation Vacant" in the Gaia's Garden Library.

You can hear him and his wife Bernice as they mate (frequently and loudly) in the early hours and I often see them and their latest babies when I leave for work at 06:45.

Wow that sounds so amazing! I have only seen foxes a handful of times, they are so beautiful, when you say his wife Momma white cougar does that mean foxes mate for life?

Yes, if you're into animal mating noises :D

I often here foxes near my house, and sometimes an owl screeching out.
It's bad in suymmer when i have all m,y windows open and it keeps me awake.
I have often been known to yell at them out the window at 3am. Thus waking everyone in a 1 mile radious up also.
:D

I'm late in on this one, but I love the idea of Ripple Meditation. Can you imagine how the world would change if more and more people joined together in doing it? It's called critical mass isn't it? Anyway thank you for the invitation to join. I'll be there at 10pm - will just have to imagine the beauty and scent of your jasmine, though I have the first roses out which smell pretty good too!

Oh and thanks for the welcome. Just love your website!

lol! not the mating noises ash! weird! where I live we have a lush country park where there are foxes (earth fire has taken some beautiful pics of it in out and about) but unfortunatly it is just off a busy road, which is tragic for the foxes and other wildlife, so sadly the only foxes I have seen recently have been a victim of that, maybe if the road was lit in the night it would be better.

Aww, poor foxes, but on the other hand..cities hardly need extra light pollution.

We have like 1 street lamp which is about 10 minutes walk down the road.
I rely on the moon when i go out round here at night.

Yes, please do feel free to join in Mel :) (I've missed a few sunday ripples lately... I didn't feel like my energies were in the best 'rippling' mood to mix in with others... but I'm back again now!)
