Green Village, love it, as an idea. So how do we achieve this. By setting up a Village in Wales,,, great for that village. Does it stop us polluting the Earth,,?,, NO.
There are some very hard facts we as human beings have to face. We have allowed ourselves to out grow the natural cycle of supply and demand, yes I know it sounds like a bussiness plan, but we cannot feed ourselves without destroying a forrest or a species. At the moment I cannot say more.
Blessings to you all.

There is no 'natural' countryside left. All of it is managed in some form or another SOR.
Part of my degree is finding the balance between conserving and utilizing the space.
It is all a question of sustainability, not farming too intensley and trying to use natures resources wiseley etc etc.
But, if growing food in a small village, there will sureley be some arable agricultural land there, if not then try to live off the land etc etc.

And yes, I am very sensible now! It's too much hard work and stress, forced to grow up.
Jade, you can be quiet! You cost me £4 in credit!
