Healing energies winging their way to you Paganwolf. I know how you feel - I had an ear infection last month, you might like to try some of the remedies I used... the best one is rather stinky :) Do you like garlic? grab yourself a clove, skin it, and pop it in your ear (you may need to slice it down to fit better, but you'll probably find a clove which is 'just right' - they're a very useful shape lol). Keep the clove in as long as you can - you may like to replace it with a fresh one every now and then.

Garlic is one of nature's most wonderful antibiotics - the clove of garlic in the ear will help fight (and draw out) the infection and soothe the pain. I found it really did the trick! very smelly though lol (and try not to forget you have a clove of garlic sticking out of your ear when answering the door or going out bwahaaahaa...ahem...)

A little lavender oil rubbed around the outside of/behind/below the ear, also helps remedy the pain... or tea-tree if you prefer, both of these oils help boost your immune system too. If you've never used either of these oils before, do try a little patch test, and probably wise to dilute them in a little carrier oil first.

Do you have one of those wheat-bags (the ones you can heat up) or a hot water bottle? a little warmth around the ear should help soothe the pain a little and help draw out gunk.

Feel better soon Paganwolf.

Ear infections are something I have been plagued by for years. I get them sooooo bad and it makes my entire being ache and the infection brings my whole system down. Due to my dodgy ears (beyond 'normal' things - tinnitus etc which is through the roof with ear infections) I have to have a real sterile environment in there. Am so scared of making things worse with remedies though garlic and olive oil have helped some infections like other lovely garden folk have said. I try to stay off the antibitotic ear drops as long as possible but if things persist for a while, do check with GP.

The pain is so bad....I so empathise friend.

Sending healing light through the wind to you. Keep a warm water bottle close to ear.
