] Date Posted: 20/02/07 14:47 Can i please ask for a little support? I've picked up a really nasty inner ear infection. i'm temporarily totally deaf in my right ear and not much better in my left. my balance and co-ordination are out to lunch. i'm not able to perform any rite or ritual as i can't get off the couch. Can you all please send some positive energy or ideas how to shift this as it's knocked the hell out of me. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/02/07 16:37 Healing energies winging their way to you Paganwolf. I know how you feel - I had an ear infection last month, you might like to try some of the remedies I used... the best one is rather stinky :) Do you like garlic? grab yourself a clove, skin it, and pop it in your ear (you may need to slice it down to fit better, but you'll probably find a clove which is 'just right' - they're a very useful shape lol). Keep the clove in as long as you can - you may like to replace it with a fresh one every now and then. Garlic is one of nature's most wonderful antibiotics - the clove of garlic in the ear will help fight (and draw out) the infection and soothe the pain. I found it really did the trick! very smelly though lol (and try not to forget you have a clove of garlic sticking out of your ear when answering the door or going out bwahaaahaa...ahem...) A little lavender oil rubbed around the outside of/behind/below the ear, also helps remedy the pain... or tea-tree if you prefer, both of these oils help boost your immune system too. If you've never used either of these oils before, do try a little patch test, and probably wise to dilute them in a little carrier oil first. Do you have one of those wheat-bags (the ones you can heat up) or a hot water bottle? a little warmth around the ear should help soothe the pain a little and help draw out gunk. Feel better soon Paganwolf. (((Hugs))) *°*•*°*Blessings*°*•*°* [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/02/07 17:29 Ear infections are something I have been plagued by for years. I get them sooooo bad and it makes my entire being ache and the infection brings my whole system down. Due to my dodgy ears (beyond 'normal' things - tinnitus etc which is through the roof with ear infections) I have to have a real sterile environment in there. Am so scared of making things worse with remedies though garlic and olive oil have helped some infections like other lovely garden folk have said. I try to stay off the antibitotic ear drops as long as possible but if things persist for a while, do check with GP. The pain is so bad....I so empathise friend. Sending healing light through the wind to you. Keep a warm water bottle close to ear. namaste zenwind [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/02/07 21:20 Paganwolf, you poor love I've been in a similar situation. The others have given some brilliant ideas for your infection (I shall remember the garlic, Whitewolf!)so I'll think about balance. Now your ears are affected, you need to rely on other stimulus to help your brain balance. Your body will use touch and sight more now so wear thin-soled shoes when you can and no shoes if possible so your feet can feel the ground. Switch the light on or use a nightlight at night so you don't rely on just your feet! And when walking anywhere, focus on an object in the distance. I didn't realise for ages that I was, in fact, weaving down the street! People must have thought I was the village drunk!! Hope the tips work. The best one I have is to rest. Lying down was the best (and sometimes only)thing for me to do! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 21/02/07 12:03 Awww, sorry Paganwolf - must be horrible. i have only had two ear infections during my life, both when i was young, but it was such a horrible feeling and I had to lie down the whole time. Garlic and onion - yes so good at fighting infections and i would say as an ongoing treatment once the infection has cleared up, aloe vera drops into the ear keep things healthy. Actually, think Higher Nature sell something similar (bit expensive though!). Hope you feel better soon - sending healing thoughts your way :) Love Rowan xx [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 22/02/07 8:56 Hello Paganwolf Sorry this posting is a little late but I hope you are beginning to feel a little better today? I swear by garlic and onions but Ive never thought of actually putting them anywhere other than in my tummy (LOL). Im sure they will be one of the best things to help you heal. I eat both quite a bit (really know who my friends are now! LMAO) & have to say (let me just touch some wood a minute, I am rarely ill. My thoughts are with you Paganwolf and I send you wishes for a speedy recovery. Lil [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
