Very nice poems indeed. Thank you. Does poetry have to rhyme? No, just ask my neice who's fourth grade class had to enter the state poetry competition as an assignment. When my neice handed in her poem the teacher ridiculed her in front of the whole class because "It didn't even rhyme!"
She really did embarass my neice. (Poor child) The teacher went on and on about how she didn't even know why she should send it in to the competition. "It isn't even a poem." The teacher ate her words (and I hope she choked on them) when that poem won first place in the state competition. So even if someone who supposedly knows something about poetry doesn't like your poem. Don't pay any attention to them. If you like it, it's good. I would love to see more of your work. :-)
