shani,
i'm not sure of what your ED status is but if you are or have ever been mia i definately wouldn't reccomend them!! i am ana/mia, and was addicted to diet pills for about 2 years. my heart is still screwed up, i have an arrythmia- which i think is due to the fact that the pills had ehpedra in them (which i dont think they sell anymore, thank god, but am still weary that drug compainies may be using "imitation" ephedra)
At first i wanted to take them to speed up my metabolism, so i didn't have dangerous intentions. as much as i tried to take the "normal" dosage, i simply could not. i began swallowing handfuls after eating, using them to purge, or after a binge instead of throwing up. i found that while taking the reccomended dose, i wouldn't lose weight. it didn't seem to work- so i'd be swallowing 10 at a time until it did. i'm not saying you'll do this too, everyone is different, so i'm definately not insinuating this. just a warning that for people with addictive personalities, diet pills are probably not the best route to go. most of them are intended to "speed you up", like amphetamines or cocaine, which will take away your appetite but can also put a lot of stress on your heart. if you do decide to take them, please be careful! talk to your doctor, if necessary, or research different kinds and their ingredients to make sure it's safe
love
~jane~
