Subject: Live from The Royal Northern College of Music!!!! Just realized I can get a connection here inside the auditorium. Kelsey's competition just finished Round 1 and the boys U 16 have just begun. In the other theatre results have just been give for Girls U11 and Girls U15. We only know that Jade got 4th and we know nothing of the results of U15. Kelsey is in the Practice Room with the McCarron 4 beating her. Her hard shoe looked good; she came off smiling. The only USA in this comp are Penny Smith,Rory Anderson, Laura Jakubowski and Kelsey. Ashley Davidson from Canada is here as well as a local face. Many beautiful dresses. More of that new style wig. Sparkly lads of all ages. Niall and Paddy in attendance as well as Callum. I am trying to anticipate questions and provide answers. Very few Americans here at all in any competitions. A handful of Inishfree, Broesler and Campbell-that's it. We walked to the venue this am as a warm up. It wasn't raining and was nice out. I have no idea what the weather is now. Minutes before line up, Kelsey's shoe strap broke - but alas there are vendors to fix such things so no prooblem! Strap replaced in jig time so to speak!! Helena and Kevin of course are here, as are Leona and Karen (TCRG, last name unknown to me) Siobhan danced yesterday; Nial dances Sunday. Tomorrow the McCarron's have ceili teams in every age group b ut the U 10's. Two "theatre's " are running so at least it cuts down on traveling between too many halls. Had a lovely Italian dinner last night on Portland Street. Inishfree families Jako and Regan there when we arrived; shortly after us Budde, Turek and Hanson's arrived. It was an American overthrow! That's it for now. Battery will die soon. Boys still dancing. Kelsey waits for Her Second Round. We all sit patiently , smiling and nodding.
