Subject: Ottawa scoop!!! Hi all- well we are so glad to see all our Campbell friends- Schuhle's, Carl's, Rodriquez and Largo's!!! Rosemary and Cailin are also here and Cailin is being as sweet as she always is!! we were so happy to see our England friends as well- a sweaty work out and practice today, but everyone is looking so good. Off for some pasta- think good thoughts for our dancers for tomorrow- Michaela, Megan, Justin, Jade and Niall!! We will keep you posted!

Campbell kids, you are ready as ever- Can't wait to hear all the good news!!!
Subject: Greetings from Ottawa!!! We arrived at noon- what a city !!! We saw our fireworks last night and sang Oh Canada- maybe not our holiday but what the hey. Michaela had an awesome practice this afternoon- she is happy to be here and ready to compete. Hey girls there are also millions of soccer players buzzing around for the Under 20 World Cup!!! Not that this old lady is looking or anything. Seeing more and more Irish dancing families- venue will be open bright and early. Morning practice on tap for us then hook up again in the afternoon . MMMM what else- weather report doesn't look fabulous, but not a wash out either. We are at the extended stay- full kitchen and bar right in the room- gotta love it. Looking forward to seeing our Campbell friends and thanks to our friends at home wishing us all well!!!

Subject: Greetings from Montreal!! So we are almost to Ottawa- today was a "rest" day although 4 times has been completed as well as a series of crunches. Michaela and I treated ourselves to "french" sunglasses and danced to the Jazz bands in the center of the city. Then off to Notre Dame for some prayers!!! We are getting soooo excited for Nans- can't wait for our dance friends to arrive- safe travels!!

Subject: It is hard to believe that Nationals is just around the corner. Best of luck to all of our dancers who have worked so hard for this competition. We have 8 dancers (I think) representing the Campbell NEW YORK school- this is awesome. I am even more certain that more will represent us next year based on some of the results of the feis' lately!!! Let's all set our sights high and go for it. If you can walk off the stage saying I danced my best then you are truly a winner. Most of all let's cheer each other on regardless of the outcome- even though this is a "solo" competition we are the "team" that is traveling together. Looking forward to some great dancing, good memories and fun with friends. Safe travels to all.

She siad it was good to realize that she no longer feels the pain where it has been for many years now. The recovery will be slow i n one sense yet she is already up and walking for short bits. She is slated to be released tomorrow (Thursday) but needs to be very careful at home. Hanna told me that her mom was told to wlak for 15 minutes every hour. She is allowed to do stairs at bedtime and in the am. No driving for two weeks. That's about all I really know. Her family is all coming to gether to help out which is awesome. Today she was planning out the upcoming feis drives!!!!

We went to the Brand New Smith Houlihan Feis this weekend to see how it would be. The venue was fabulous and I have never seen such organization and care to detail. I don;t know what the majic is to running as feis but they sure had it! There were a zilion volunteers and signs EVERYWHERE. No matter what you needed or looked for, there was a sign there to direct you. Escorts delivered judges to their stages to make sure that no one "got lost" along the way. The competitions were very small and it didin't attract a lot of competition but after such a successful day I am sure it wil be the feis to attend next year. We left there at about 1:15 and began our trek through 4 states until we arrived at the 5th, New Jersey!! There we met up with Schneiders who had arrived from the Celtic Fling Feis . Today was the Peter Smith Feis in Edison. HUGE doesn't even describe the size of this one. As the last feis before Nationals, it attracts everyone. There was little down time before awards were presented but alas, no Jim Monatgue!!! Still a good feis though . Shopping was great too!!!! Tons of vendors and tons of dresses for sale. Enormous venue so you don't feel the crowd.

Just found out from AAA and State Farm that you need a "yellow non-resident interprovince motor vewhicle liability insurance card from your agent. If you are stopped and can't produce it, then you are subject to a $500.00 fine. Just something else to worry about. Easy enough to get, just a phone call.

What a blast! Kerry Anne did her new Hornpipe and 3 steps of Treble Reel on a nice stage with great sound to hear hard shoes clicking loudly for the community in Voorheesville doing the Relay for Life. Crowd was pleasing, and made it just until Thunder and Lightening started! Definitely has been a fun weekend of performing.
