女身不單可以證阿羅漢果，女身跟男身一樣可以成佛，那是我在覺拉寺時師父說的。值得深思的問題並不在於女身可以證得甚麼，而在佛教人“認為”女身可以證得甚麼，那是我的研究方向之一。

佛教有沒有“歧視”女性是一個很弔詭的問題（我日後會儘量避免這個用詞，因為會引起誤會和對立情緒），由於佛教相對而言是一個重視多元、尊重小眾言論的，佛經種類繁多，甚麼樣的意見，甚至帶矛盾性的也包含在內；不同的經典，不同的詮釋（例如維摩經中舍利弗與天女的問答與原始佛教經典中把女性看成腐屍臭水是很有趣的對比），令我們不能立刻就說“佛教有沒有歧視女性”。事實上，我已不再從這方面去想，因為過去佛教是否歧視女性並不重要，最要是我們從今天開始，是否有空間去建構更同等、更切合此時此地的佛法論述。

我認為，即使未登菩薩境地，執著於男、女之相，也是無助於證悟的事情，但“去執”的過程，卻並不容易，也不能掉以輕心，因為不以性別去斷人與不去看見性別上的不同等是完全的兩回事。

我開學已三星期，功課繁重，但會努力上述的研究，希望真正能填補佛教在性別上的空白之處，並且得到大家的認同。
