Salzay smiled through her tears as he spoke with Grenith. Of course she knew what he was doing; she had grown up around riders, after all! So, aside from his shoulderknots, she now had proof he was a rider. And a greenrider, at that! Wasn't that wonderful? Salzay had always known greenriders best, as Halzay spent most of her time in their company.

"Mommy is in da Wower(lower) Caberns(caverns), Sally thinks." Se replied, wiping all the tears away. "But, she might leave soon. She's upset acuz my Aunties and Uncles showded up while she and Daddy tried a talk."

She sniffed, and then waited. Was this man gonna help her?
