The Qld law says the pit bull is a type or a crossbred offspring of a type of dog.Go read the law section

How would anyone know what went into the make-up of a crossbred, it could be first it could be second cross or more!!
when all breeds actually were from crossbreds in the designing originally and no DNA can show breed cos there is proven in science that there is more diversity within any one breed than across breeds

Dogs are individuals but they are CANIDS and cannot get "new" types of traits, they are all very much the same for over 85% of the registered breeds, with just their coat, head and tail varying in most traits they inherit and the size of a dog comes from 6 alleles within genes within chromosomes ,
so all in a litter NEVER are the SAME!!

when--the Bull breeds share common ancestry and the APBT and the AST which ARE registered breeds created in USA--are the same dog back beyond 1936--the AST is the show bred version of the APBT

The dogs were from the same ancestors as the Staffordshire bull terriers, the Bullandterrier mixes that went to USA became APBT and AST breeds.
The others stayed another 70 yrs of pit fighting in secret around the black hills and in Counties Kerry and Cork in Ireland--til the Staffie got into the UK s tud books and out of the nasty pits. Why not?

they a re all "nanny dogs" best breed for chn ever, all these bull breeds--if you take care of cretinous dog fighters and irresponsible owners with gaol terms and huge fines and NO MORE DOGS FOR THEM--youd be fine with a Pit bull, a Staffie or Amstaffie as they are loving dogs indeed

if you know any genetics --Pomeroy doesnt she said so in court once-you'd know many breeds have the same characteristics to more than 90% (exceptions--BB and BT and Greyhound and Bedlington maybe Rott, about 12% of breeds with odd physical traits ONLY)and the stupid Qld checklist system one day soon will be totally exposed for the unscientific, untested, hidden catchall strong dogs bs and simplistic, subjective pschobabble it is--

NOT one regiistry USA or here will take it on board and own it --Vic judges said NO to the govt its too stupid!its being satirised in National Dog time and again-and decried in USA and Australia by the heads of the dog groups- how the councils can keep exposing themselves to more and more class actions once it is in the Pit itself is beyond comprehension

There is no way to prove the breed of a crossbred dog--all dogs inherit the same way with two pairs of 39 chromosomes from their parents, what do you think a dog would LOOK like if it came by accident from a crossbred Staffie/Pointer and a crossbred Staffie/Labrador--a bloody Qld Pit bull for sure!
