Hi Peter. I just think it would be fairer all round, especially now that there is such a broad spectrum of car types allowed on the event. A normal 1800 Elise has something like 50-60% the power of a supercharged or turbo'd one, clearly a class apart. There is a turbo and supercharge option for my little engine, making it superfast beyond a little Smart (add 40% correction to their capacity as they are also turbo's, still keeps them under 1000cc's.

Based on the cars entered to date, perhaps a 50% engine capacity adjustment is more appropriate.

This approach will also balance out the number of cars in each class, since the middle classes have been very large over the last few years.

Team and medal colour awards would remain unchanged, but you'd end up with much fairer class results.

It would be interesting to know what other participants think?

Cheers, Spike
