Laith,your ideas on alternative energy sources are still in their earliest stages of research, and it will take many years before such an energy source that would have real ecological benefits will be avaible for use. In the meantime the poulation will have skyrocketed by several billion more and the effects of global warming will be well under way with coastal flooding, desertifaction and the near annhilition of the earths forests will be a reality.

Because the Earth`s climate will be by then even more fucked up that it is today the weather changes will be in full swing with stronger and more frequent hurricanes (a hotter athmosphere has more energy hence it is released more violently) and more widespread droughts and famines will cause unprecedented mass human misery. There will be more wars over resourses as different countries discover that there are no longer enough for everyone and the stronger will take from the weaker by force.I predict that the strongest asian nation (China) will start aggressive wars for resourses against its weaker neighbors and there won`t be squat that America will be able to do to prevent it!

It is widely believed the the 1st ever war for water supplies will be fought in the Middle East, like that place doesn`t have enough problems already! Maybe the arabs will turn on Israel in desparation and the jews will actually do something beneficial (1st time for everything!) by nuking these vermin into extinction!

I suggest you check out This link if you think I am scaremongering Laith because these guys are highly respected in the scientific world. They KNOW what they are talking about!

I think you guys will agree with me when I say that this century will be the bloodiest ever! Unlike previous wars no prisoners can be taken! There won`t be enough resources to feed `em!
