Subject: Another engagement announcement...

Well, I have some news that I had to share. My boyfriend, Chris, proposed Sunday at the Santa Monica park in California. We're out here visiting my dad and Santa Monica has always been my favorite part of L.A. It's just absolutely gorgeous. I talk about it all the time and he decided to ask me there so it would be really memorable. He had already asked my dad's permission and told him his plan. So, I noticed that my dad was taking all of these pictures and I couldn't figure out why. But, then as we were walking, Chris tells me he has a question to ask me and then gets down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was so sweet and so perfect. And my dad took pictures of it all. It's so awesome that we have pictures to document the proposal. We aren't making plans anytime soon...he's actually probably gonna have to go to Iraq for quite a while, so we will be waiting until those plans all shake out before we start making wedding plans. But, I just had to let you all know that I am now engaged! The good news just keeps coming in 2007! :)

Below are a few pictures of the happy moment. However, we were met with not so great news today...he received his orders (National Guard) to be mobilized to New York or New Jersey for training and then (possibly) off to Iraq for 14 months. It's kind of an emotional roller coaster right now, but his proposal was beautiful, thoughtful, and really romantic. :) See below...and thank you for all of the congratulations. I really appreciate it!
