Subject: Happy Birthday to my "Lil Bro"
In reply to: DaxMom and DaxDad 's message, "28 IS GREAT!!!" on 21:24:04 03/27/06 Mon

Hey lil bro - and yes, you are still my LIL BRO, no matter how much taller you are! Let's see ... I could tell so many enbarassing stories ... where to even begin???! But since it's a special birthday, I'll share a nice one:

About 5 1/2 years ago, I annouced to my family that I was moving to Seattle ... much to their surprise! Dax had just finished up part of a huge project, so I hadn't seen a lot of him recently, but we'd definitey made as much time as we could.

On one of my last days before leaving, my family and a few close friends had dinner and Dax gave me my going away/early birthday present ... a wonderfully funny, hand-drawn card (and yes, he can draw, too!) ... and at the end, a check large enough to pay off my car AND to cover the costs to ship it all the way across the country. So, thanks to Da, I still have my "Whoosh!"

Love you lots little brother ... guess I'm glad we didn't trade you in at the hospital ; )

As friend of DaxSis, can I add my embarressing memory... well just thought... you were always around back in Springfield, and I can't believe how you put up with us... even though you made it into our middle school yearbook when you were still in grade school... especially with the bow-tie! But really, how cool it was to have adult conversations with you a few years ago in Seatlle... I can't believe how old we all are... congrats on the golden birthday... best of luck..

[> [> [> Happy Birthday to the ragtime pianist, all grown up -- DaxSisFriend-II, 08:16:11 04/05/06 Wed [1]

Happy 28th, Dax! I remember when I went with your family to a ragtime piano competition somewhere in central Illinois... it was at a hotel and we got to go in the pool, that's all I remember (no disrespect to your playing!)... I was so impressed when you, Jill, and I were playing a videogame in the hotel arcade, and you started humming harmony to the game soundtrack after only one cycle! What a talent, and what hard work it's taken to make it bear fruit -- congrats on all your success, and happy birthday! -- Shannon
