It was impossible to think back to the days when things were good, when her mom had still been alive and they had been the typical middle class American family. Those days were long gone and that bright innocent sparkle had been stolen from her eyes, instead replaced with a lingering sadness that always lined her pretty, gentle features.

  • He cocked his head, regarding her slowly. He didn;t know her whole story- though you didn't often need to be told it- you could just tell with some of them. They tried to keep it hiddenn- their dirty little secrets, their horrors, but some scars were etched to deeply in a person.
