"We're older now... things at the house are more settled... Joey and Nina think its a good place to raise a child... why not you?" He had nearly said 'us' but had caught his thought track in time. Back when she'd had the baby there was drugs and alcohol everywhere- tons of teenage kids running around... they'd all grown up a little now, chilled out- and more importantly he had a good , perminant job that he got paid a lot of money for- maybe not a lot by like... doctors standards- but for someone with no qualifications and a police record on their files- he was doing damn good. He thought it was a good idea to talk about this now- so she would have an idea of the outcome she wanted from this meeting- so she wasnl;t just drowning in what they told her.
