So discouraged and embarrassed by herself once again, she returned home a little after eight, and trudged up the steps and into the house - stopping in the first empty room that she found, which happened to be the living room with the television that someone had left running. She settled herself into the corner on the sofa and slouched down deep into the plushness of it, bare feet resting on the edge of the coffee table. Her dark ringlets were pulled back from her face that day and she wore a flowy light blue linen skirt and a white tank top - so soft and sweet looking at first glance, but there was a quiet desperation to her wide eyes that made her look young and confused upon closer inspection...
