Subject: She winced a little when she heard him enter - truth was that there wasn't really anyone in this entire house that she felt comfortable speaking earnestly to. She'd never had something like that, always been self sufficient that way. Right now, she wasn't sure what she wanted, but she was uncomfortable in her own skin. She tipped her head back, straightening out the hunch in her back and resting her spine against the wall behind her mattress. "Nothing." She tried a smile, swiped at a tear or two that weren't actually there, despite her thinking they ought to be. She'd been trying her best to avoid him, keep a straight face, but truth was things had gotten a little awkward - or maybe she felt like they were awkward but it wasn't reciprocated.

  • "Horrible liar." He muttered, heading to the dresser drawer to pull out a plain white tee shirt, tugging over his head before he kicked off his shoes and tugged off his socks, tossing them into the makeshift hamper in the corner. He wasn't one to press someone to open up to him but he did enjoy her company and seeing her so obviously upset tugged at something inside of him in an uncomfortable fashion.
