I recently came across a picture of my sister Judy with Barbara Fryer taken at their the Fryer's cottage on Kirk Lake. My dad (also named Vic) helped Vic remodel the cottage and we would occasionally spend the week-end there. Barbara had a sister who's name I have forgotten.

George Fryer was an accomplished photographer and one of my favorite photos is one he took of my dad while he was painting the building where the butcher shop was located. The Fryers lived in the only house facing White Plains road in that block. It was between the butcher shop building and and the building to the South containing Jack's Bar and Grill and George Grasso's deli.

The gas station was run by brothers Charlie and Howie.
