My parents had a 51 Chevy Delux, three speed on the column. In 62 Dad bought a leftover 61 Rambler... white with a push-button automatic. That was replaced by a 68 Chevelle. My first car was a 60 Ford Falcon...which I bought for $125 from an elderly woman in Crestwood. The paint was so thin the primer showed through in big spots. I covered them with plastic flower stickers... Hey! It was 1968, "Flower Power" was in full bloom...and I had just landed my first job as a DJ playing Rock n' Roll on the radio ... including dreck like "Yummy Yummy Yummy"...etc!
