The classic film that made launched Bela Lugosi's film career as the Count and opened with "Swan Lake."

Well, this was a talkie horror movie benchmark, and to me, no one else could match Bela Lugosi's Dracula. As for favorite moments..hard to say, just so many.

I'll give some fav moments to the quotes...eg, "I bid you welcome, & Listen to them, children of the night, what music they make, & I am Dracula" Some others also. I liked the opener with Swan Lake, rest of 1931 movie lacked music. (I would have preferred something.)

Renfield's madness gazing up the stairs in the ship was memorable, what more can I say. It was just a good film, the supporting actors, the spookiness of the sets, and the talent of Bela Lugosi, as Dracula.

A lot of fans critisize "Dracula" today, but I think it still holds up well despite the slower parts. But every scene where Dracula appears makes up for it.

My favorite moments are when we first see Dracula.

Renfield's ride to Dracula's castle.

Dracula introducing himself to Renfield.

Renfield's crazy laugh when the ship's hatch is open.

Dracula knocking the mirror out of Van Helsing's hand.

Dan and Officer Torch covered many of the best moments and most memorable quotes.

Like many Universal fans, I associate Swan Lake with the opening of Dracula, although it was also used during the opening credits of Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932) and The Mummy (1932).

Dracula: "This is very old wine. I hope you will like it."

Renfield: "Aren't you drinking?"

Dracula: "I never drink...wine."
