I haven't seen this one for quite some time, but it was frequently shown on television back in the 1970s. The dinosaurs brought to life by stop-motion animation genius Ray Harryhausen were a major part the film's fun appeal.

Raquel Welch was also an attractive contributor to the picture's success. A poster of her from the film is notably featured in The Shawshank Redemption (1994).

The stop motion dinosaurs is the main reason I liked "One Million Years BC" better than the "Lon Chaney Jr." "Victor Mature" version because I absolutely hate when they throw fins on real lizards and use them as dinosaurs.
I'd rather see cheap stop motion, ala "The Lost Continent," or men in shoddy suits, "Unknown Island" than those damn lizards.

Anyway, it's also been a while since I've seen "One Million Years BC," but I know I liked all of the moments when a dinosaur appeared, and of course I liked all the scenes with Raquel Welch running around in that fur bikini.
