Subject: Happy Halloween to All!

Happy Halloween to all of us, and "To a New World Of Gods and Monsters!!!"

Also, Happy All Hallows to those of blessed memory who will be revelling at "Big U". Dancing by torchlight, and drinking the nectar of the Gods. All of them, strong and straight..freed from physical and emotional pain. "Dear Boris", in the guise that made him famous, with him, his lovely BRIDE...and Clive..vibrant and energetic..arm in arm with the two Elizabeths. Frances Drake and Elizabeth Allan are not far behind, and Peter Lorre is not far behind them. Off in a misty corner stand two other shades,shrouded in cigar smoke. A tall, handsome man, with the face of an eagle, and a lanky Englishman with a wide, humourous mouth..dressed in an elegant "bespoke" suit....his silver hair still streaked with red. On the other side of the room, Evelyn Ankers stands on the arm of her husband, Richard Denning, and Anne Gwynne deftly refuses the advances of Lon Chaney Jr. Buster Crabbe's party arrives late. His rocket has had a flameout on the way back from Mongo. They had to make a side trip to pick up the magnificent Ming...

Lastly the guests of honour arrive..two small, almost gnome like men. One old, and one young..both with bright, bird like eyes and wide, toothy grins... All the other guests bow in respect, and lift their beakers high in the traditional toast. As they turn toward the flames of a burning windmill, they hear the voices of the future...thousands of them, all saying the same thing: "EVER CHERISHED...EVER MISSED!!"

Boo! to you, and all. Be sure to check under those beds before retiring...there could be a monster waitin' for ya. Watch out for any fourth dimensional holes that might be in the wall, don't get trapped. Maybe avoid watching too many scarry movies..especially if they frightened you as a kid. Easy on the caffeine tonight...remember, you gotta be awake tomorrow to accomodate those trick or treaters, barking dogs when doorbills ring, and maybe to clean off eggs, soap, etc possibly left from mischief night (by ghouls?) the night before. You may also need your energy to take your children or grandkids to organized affairs, door to door visits, etc. Am I lecturing? Nah...just enjoy the day, be safe, have fun, and if you're so inclined, mention to the tykes about the significance of the day and the next couple. As Red Skelton would say, "...may God bless." Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go back to eating my candy corn.(Hey! no lectures about sugar highs.)Seriously though, have fun. Best Regards
