A good question, Alan. The prime audience would be the ones that are listed by Officer Torch. I do believe there are younger people who would come to discover these films on DVD. There always is. Incidentally, America isn't the only country where Universal's horror films are released on DVD.

Europe has the films on other region DVDs from what I know. In fact, some titles were released over there before the US releases. Blu-Ray is the next step in marketing the horror films and the film quality will be brought out even better. The standard DVD releases do look and sound good. I mean, come on, VHS looks terrible next to them. Unlike standard DVD, Blu-Ray can use lesser discs to accomodate the horror films and bonus materials, too.

New packaging is one big issue and it won't be like many of the ones we've had to deal and complain about--rightly so, I should say. Of course, Universal made at least a few hundred films a year and if they could release some of the other films, that would be nice. Many of them are stored at Library of Congress in Virginia. It would be nice if that panned out.
