Kellie -
I feel your pain. I have a perfectly healthy 4 year old daughter. I am expecting my second child (a son) in about 2 weeks. Suddenly, every time I turn on the radio or pick up a magazine, Autism is in my face. Everything I read makes me nervous. "They" say it is more common in boys - I'm havin' a boy. "They" say it is more common if the husband is older - he is 10 years older than me. "They" say a bunch of stuff. Now, Jenni McCarthy has come out with a child that has been diagnosed. Holly Robison-Peete has an austic child. It freaks me out! BUT - I have looked around me, in my world, in my town, the people I know and it isn't so common. I don't know any children that have autism. So, I have just given this over to God to help me relax and just raise this boy with all the love I can and God will work it all out in the end. You are doing a wonderful job raising Emma Kellie and the fact that this concerns you shows just what a conciencious mother you are. You are just looking out for her best interest. You've given it to God. Now, let Him do His job! A Xanax might do the trick though!
