Kelly, let her know that the "NORM" for beginning to walk (awkwardly and stiffly) and talk (small words like mom, dad, ball, food, etc) is 12 mos old. Potty training does not usually start until 2.5 years old and it's not completed (Day & Night) until 3.5 years old. If your child develops a little before or after these dates, it does not mean they're not NORMAL. Your baby is completely and totally perfect and do not let someone like that make you believe any different!
-From a nursing student who has taken Child Developmental Psychology and had extensive testing in "THE NORM".
