I personally do not know of any baby who was walking, talking in complete sentences and potty-trained at 9 months. After reading her post, I'm beginning to think this Leah must be a child or a snotty psychology major in her first year of college trying to make her first diagnosis and sadly missing the mark. I did not walk until I was more than a year old. I spent my first six months in a body cast because my leg broke when I was five weeks old. So, I was obviously delayed in that department. But, I was not in need of "serious help." Each baby starts doing things when they decide it's time to do them and only your pediatrician can determine if something might be amiss. If the doctor has no concerns about her progress, then don't worry about it. She'll start running before you know it and you won't be able to keep up with where she is! And once she starts talking, you'll wish she would stop for just five minutes! Then everything will be "Why? Why? Why?" Leah's just a lonely loser who probably created her own baby book. I guess she thinks Beethoven should have stopped composing music when he lost his hearing because, gee, that would mean he needed "serious help."
