Looking for the perfect way to welcome in the Holiday Spirit with laughter? River Theater lets you open your presents early with Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical by Dave Goggin, opening on December 1st.
Directed by Jayne Osborn, Nuncrackers is a hilarious musical comedy featuring the zany Sisters of Hoboken Convent hosting their own Public Access TV holiday show. Sister Mary Regina, four of her nuns, and one 'Brother' host the school children in an uproarious, irreverent evening of song and comedy.

Featuring a live band, Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical is the first TV Special taped by the sisters in their convent basement studio. It stars the nuns of Little Sisters plus Father Virgil and some of Mt. Saint Helen's most talented students. All new songs including: Twelve Days Prior to Christmas, Santa Ain't Comin' To Our House, We Three Kings of Orient Are Us, and It's Better to Give Than To Receive. This show is filled with 'Nunsense' humor, some favorite carols, and a Secret Santa that shares goodies (such as the 'Scratch & Sniff Nativity Ornament') with the audience. The nuns share tips on the trials and tribulations of Christmas shopping, host a cooking segment on How to Make a Fruitcake that will be cherished for years to come, and perform a version of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet unlike any you've ever experienced.

Nuncrackers is directed by Jayne Osborn; and stars Janie Sexton, Skye McKey, Sheila Shaffer, Ann Erickson, Annabel Knight, Sandra Campos, Jasmine Golden-Sea, Shelby Dursse, and Nathon Scott. The Music Director is Ann Bronson; who, along with Set Designer Sen Incavo, Lighting Designer Ian Anderson Priddy, and Stage Manager Aubree Friedrich, sets the perfect tone for an enjoyable family outing before the rush of the holidays.
