Somebody tell me why exactly the last THREE pageants I wanted to see all cost $$45-$55 to attend? MAO is still reasonable at around $20 each and USA has always been high but Great production but what's u with other systems wanting $50-$75 for VIP seating which is just one row closer and what happened to visiting queens getting discounts?

Just a few years ago it was standard to pay $5 or $10 less (if at all) to go in your banner, now it's about $50 to see any pageant. That's ludicrous! I cancelled plans to go t two already because $100 can buy a decent cocktail dress on Pageant Resale, in some cases an interview dress or swimsuit!

What started this ridiculous trend? Would you pay $50-70 just to WATCH if it isn't your kid or friend competing? Seems they're only hurting their own sales

Agree. Even my own poor husband has to pay, after he forked out the whole entry fee. Then I have to suck it up and tell him to get in the door it's another $50? come on, Directors, give us a break. Please, no whining about how much it costs to produce. Build it into the entry fee or something. Along with these ridiculous "mandatory" ads for hundreds of dollars, you aren't fooling anyone and you're killing off contestants one by one. (NT) good post 03/09/15 Mon

As a former Director, I paid $6-8k for a quality production, so it does cost a lot. Why does it matter if built into the entry fee? Then you would complain about the high entry fee. It's the SAME thing.AD page is for your sponsors and family acknowledgement, so use it as a business woman and make money on selling ADs to pay for entry fee. That's what I did when I competed. What I want to ask is why do people keep entering these over priced pageants? Everybody wants to fuss about fees for this, fees for that but they still go enter them... That's what's stupid to me.. If you know all these fees ate coming, either save up, get a sponsor or do one with NO AD page. Jmo 03/11/15 Wed
