Well, I may as well do my western predicitions as well then.

1. Det vs 8. Edm

Well IF and that was a big if, I would have taken the canucks in detriot over 6. But we all know that the canucks decided they didn't want to come to play. Now lets look at Edmonton. Can they score? Barely, Do they have a good defensive corps? Nope. Do they have a goalie? Nope. Do they have a hope in hell? Nope. Det in 4 break out the brooms.

2 Dal vs Col

Again I didn't think was a match up we were going to see and I was hoping it was going to be edmonton playing dallas. But alas that will not happen. This series could go either way, but Theadore has just looked so mediocre and they have nothing to do if he falters which is likely. They can score but Dallas knows how to shut a team down. I think dallas does it in 6.

3 Cal vs Anah

I can't belive I'm saying this but I pick the ducks. But to be fair I was going to pick who ever was facing the flames over the flames. The flames have good goal tending but nothing else. My god they can't score worth a damn. All anahiem needs is 2 goals a game to win odds are they can get that. They beat the flames at everything but goaltending. Should be a good defensive match up that will put everyone from coast to coast to sleep. Ducks in 6

4 Nash vs 5. SJ

SJ 4-0. If you watched thorton in any of those games against the canucks you know why. They were my pick at the begining of the year to represent the west in the stanley cup final and I'm sticking to them. Sure thorton no showed in the playoffs last year but he was playing with broken ribs. And to be fair it didn't matter who the sharks played in the first round they were probably going to destroy them.
