1 Ott vs 8. TB

I guess the real question on everyone minds is how far will Ottawa go in the east? All the way? Nope. To many injuries and guys just coming back from injuries. There goaltending is a big question mark. Do they get out of the first round though? Of course. TB just isn't the same team it was last year. Has the talent, but they are missing some big parts to that stanley cup winning team. They should beable to get a few games out of it though.

2. Car vs Habs

The habs sure have come back down to earth after tearing it up for awhile. 3 goal lead against the devils and they can't hold it? We're not talking about ottawa or philly or some other team with a good offense. We are talking about the devils. Huet has played so far above his head this year it isn't even funny. He'll get a big contract and then do nothing next year for the habs. Oh well the habs can always dream. They get a few games out of it because of Car's inexperance.

Car in 6.

3 NJ vs NYR

Ok seriously the devils have won 11 in a row and are also my team in the east. Does anyone expect me not to pick the devils? The devils are just playing so good and NYR has to many checks. Nothing against checks but they are known for packing it in when they get down by a few. This series should have some blood but won't go very long. The devils are just too good right now.

Devils in 5. I give NYR a pity game because of how much the teams hate each other :P

4. Buff vs Phil

This is my one pick'em match up in the first round. I could see either team coming out of it and not being suprised. I think Buffalo has the speed to beat Philly, and I'm not sold on either of Philly's goalies. So....

Buffalo in 6.

Now this is for you Juan. With those picks I'll show you what I think will happen in the following rounds.

West
1 Det vs Anahiem Detriot gets revenge on the ducks.
2. Dal vs 5 SJ Sharks kick the crap out of dallas moving on to the west confrence finals
1 Det vs 5 SJ Seriously SJ is going to make it to the finals. Sad but true.

East
1. Ott vs 4. Buf Even with a healthy Hasik I don't see the sens beating the sabres.
2. Car vs 3. NJ No one is going to stop NJ in the east.
3. NJ vs 4. Buf Buf puts up a fight but the devils win it in the end.

Final
Devils vs Sharks It could go either way but I'll give the nod to the devils. Been there done that while the Sharks haven't. And Thorton probably no shows in the final.

Stanley Cup Champs: Devils

Conn Smythe
Thorton
Broduer
Alfridson (If the sens go anywhere past the second round its because he puts the team on his back and carries them there.)
