Thanks for the greeting upon my posting return. We had the mother of the girl my son married over yesterday. She was impressed with the progress they are making to enclose the garage.
She was most impressed that her daughter was not smoking and not pregnant and probably in that order. As her mother was saying that, younger sisters were outside with my 16-year-old daughter smoking.
She asked my older daughter and I if we had quit smoking. I said no but my daughter said yes. She patted her boyfriend and said he got her to give up smoking.
He was embarrassed as the visitor said good.
The girl's mother left happy with her daughter's situation for the first time. Before meeting my son, this girl had a baby. She tried to go to college last year and was sinking financially. My son found her and relieved some baby sitting costs and improved his grades to passing. They went together in the spring semester with him babysitting daily and both made good grades.
As marrieds, they will both work and go to college twice a week.
