Carol at work is still smoking cigarettes after getting off those little cigars which she only smoked before and after work. This coincides with a guy who is showing a special interest in her.
Carol says the guy does not want her to switch but to quit smoking altogether. I told her cigarette smokers were much more addicted to smoking than she has been with the little cigars. I suggested giving up all smoking. She said she is considering telling him she has given up smoking but doing her only smoking at work.
Another woman says to smoke if she wants -- that a man does not have the right to tell her what she can and can't do.
Talking with Weslie, my apartment neighbor, she agreed that the lady should choose. She said her first husband, not pursuiing her to remarry which would give her kids by another guy a better advantage, got her to smoke in high and still offers her one at times.
He smokes, their 21-year-old son does not smoke but his girlfriend does. Despite Weslie's not smoking, her two other children, a boy of 15 and girl of 14, have taken it up. I think living in this apartment complex contributed to their smoking.
My smoking varies depending on opportunity but I smoke less than 10 a day on average. The babies are fine.
