Subject: We let our daughter go at it alone at the last two pageants. She is three. Before she always wanted me to go with her. The last pageant a few weeks ago she announced she wanted to do it by herself. She got 1st runner up. Yesterday again she wanted to do it by herself and she won queen. I think in most cases they will just tell you. But ask her at each pageant and see what she says. And by the way- she still waves and blows kisses A LOT, but she knows where her x's are and that is good for 3 I think.

I think by no later than 3 they should stop blowing kisses and waving. At 4 they should be focused on their modeling and projection. My DD started going on stage alone at 2, but that was her choice.
It really depends on the type of pageants you do and the level you compete on. Most glitz kids are modeling well by age 3 and going on stage alone.
