Subject: Fallbacks

We are going to a pageant that has 3 month fall back. My DD makes the fall back, but is tall for her age. There are some big names in her fallback age group, that will pull for higher titles. My DD is atleast a head taller than one of the girls I know is in her group. My DD has never competed with her before. My question is do you move them up or keep them in the fall back group? I bumped her up once and the fall back group ended up being smaller. I just hate making these decisions. LOL

I have done a pageant with my daughter and took a fallback because she changed her age division 1 wk prior to a state. I found this to be costly, because my daughter is naturally taller and appears older. The judges scored her lower compared to others in her division and I was told that she would have scored much higher in the new division. I would say just weigh your options and if your daughter can compete in the new division, then I would bump her up. Just my opinion. Hope this helps.
