Subject: What do you think of this?

I have a question i wanted to ask all you pageant mom's out there. Do you think its right for girls that have won Queen in their age division the year before to compete again in the same age division? I have a friend who's daughter won last year as a 2-3 year Queen she should come back this year to crown but the director gave her the option to either crown or enter in the same age group again? Personally i dont think thats really fair? If it would have been my child i would let her crown. Do a lot of Directors do this or is this just because of who the girl knows? This is not a bash at all just want some honest opinions on this! Thanks and God Bless

[> My daughter won a national title at a pageant one year, came back the next, still in the same age division and won a higher supreme. I think as far as nationals, only the grands should be held out. As for prelims, it's anybody's game. -- Anonymous, 19:19:03 11/04/05 Fri [1]

[> [> [> No, I do not think that they should be able to compete if they won the age division the year before. My daughter won a local pageant and the next year she was in the next age division and still wasn't allowed to compete, she crowned. Sometimes I wonder if it is just who the child or parent knows, especially if the child competes in alot of the directors pageants. -- Anonymous, 19:21:09 11/04/05 Fri [1]
