All the arguing over who paid who, how he did this or that, it's all mute. David has talent, Roush recognized that and hired him. David also has one other thing...sponsor appeal. The sponsors are after younger divers to market thier products. Experience? Many racers have more experience and more wins...but the bottom line is that Roush hired David. Throw the baby out with the water, things have gone right for David. Whether you want to admit the fact or not, David has the talent to win races...maybe he needs a little more seasoning, but he has the talent. Will he race for Roush in 2012? Don't know. If he doesn't, who will he race for? Again, don't know. But regardless of all the hype, regardless of what you AND I say about the situation, he's a winner. Took him a while, but he did win...which is one thing that you can't say about a lot of other drivers in the Cup series this year or last. When was the last time that Bobby Labonte won? Or for that matter Dale Jr? The point I'm making is that David has just as much potential to win again as any of the other 43 drivers that start a race. Whether he will stay where he's at or go somewhere else isn't something that we have any control over and therefore why waste time of speculation and what if's? David was at the right place, at the right time, with the right car, with the right engine and a better understanding of what it takes to win. He did EXACTLY what Roush hired him to do...win... Congrats David. Hope to see you in the winners circle again!
