All tracks have to have breaks in the retaining walls so what do you do. This wreck could have happened on any track anywhere. Its good the barrels were there or it would have been worse. Racing is dangerous and the key is to have a good safe car and good safety gear. Why would a racer even think about racing without a good seat, good bars, good belts, a good helment and a hans device, yet very seldom do you see a hans at a track like Cordele and many of the cars are not safe. We should be happy this was a good car with good equipment. If some of the cars would have hit like this one did, the driver would probably be dead. God takes care of us.
