Wake up Holly - It's all the whiners that got CBS FM to return in the first place. I guess whining is ok then. I'm a Viet Nam vet, and free speach is something we always had to fight for. I listened faithfully to CBS FM from day one (July 7, 1972) for over thirty years and you are the newcomer years later complaining about doo wop. Maybe YOU should have found a different station then instead of trying to change ours. Advertisers could care less about what people post. The quarterly books are the bottom line and they don't lie. The doo wop crowd was hoping to be included in this station, but it's obvious we are not wanted. It's not our station any more - it's yours! I will stop in every now and then. I don't dislike the station, it's just not my cup of tea! I really am happy for those of you who are thrilled by this turn of events. Naturally I am disappointed DooWopers will not be a part of this. But I do understand the reasoning (not that I agree with it) Money is the bottom line and if doo wop was included we would still be at the same point we were two years ago. I'm happy for Bob Shannon. He's a true pro and deserves to be back in the big leagues. The Maxman is a Navy Viet Vet who used to be in my VFW post before he moved. He did lead in for Howard Stern at K Rock and has the experience this station is looking for. Hopefully when he has recovered from his injuries, a slot can be found for him. He has many fans at the station. I apologize if I have annoyed any of the posters on this board. I was very passionate about this station and sometimes screaming is the only way you can be heard. Enjoy, I don't want to rain on your parade.
