In addition to not telling the jocks about the impending format change till an hour before it was to take place, the station celebrated Micky Dolenz's 100th show that same day.
I was there (had a wonderful time as did everyone who attended)and to this day I can't understand how the Infinity executives (I guess they don't have a conscience) went through with Micky's "party" knowing what was going to happen later on that very day - Chad Brown & Dave Logan were both at BB Kings and from what I have read, Dave didn't have a clue at that time. I remember walking by Chad who was sitting at the bar and I went over to meet Dave who was quite busy that morning.
