I was in my health club recently and they had their radio tuned to KTU. I couldn't believe it when they promoted themselves as "The Station You Sing Along To". Who do they think they are?

No surprise JACK-FM is billing so poorly. Unfortunately, those pundits and self-proclaimed know-it-alls think lower biling and ratings to the "desirable" demo is better than higher billing and ratings to the "undesirable" demo.

New York radio is controlled by Madison Ave ad agencies and Wall Street investment banks. They're the defacto programmers. That is why New York radio is THE worst in the country. It's disgraceful that smaller markets in the hinterlands offer better variety than New York.

I haven't listened to a New York FM station since subscribing to Sirius four years ago and I'm proud of it!
