Subject: Other Reminders of WCBS FM and What Happened Last Year:

As we approach the one year anniversary of the disaster that took place on June 3rd, it is worth noting that people are remembering what happened each in their own way.

Many radio tribute sites exist on the internet. Some are devoted to specific stations and others to particular events or periods in radio history.

While looking around the net today, I found that Dale R. Paterson's site www.rockradioscrapbook.com has two examples of early CBS FM in his aircheck of the week.

The site is mainly about top 40 radio in Canada and Eastern America but he does explore other types of radio too. He has a sample of 101.1 from four days after the format change in 1972 and another one from 1974. It is interesting to sample what the station sounded like back then.

Steve West has trivia questions and some examples on his site www.airchexx.com. He too has acknowledged what CBS FM was all about in its days as the best oldies station in the country.

All of us and people we don't even know will never forget where they were and how they heard about the change last year.

This is not to take away from everything that Mark has done to keep this site going. Thank you, Mark for giving us a place to talk together about the music and a once great radio station.
