Its simply amazing! Almost one year later, people are still talking about the format change.

I'm not going to jump in and criticize CBS (Ex-Infinity) for turning 101.1 into a disaster, although I'm tempted... No, the whole idea here is to remember what was the greatest oldies station of all time.

Beginning on Saturday, June 3rd, www.airchexx.com will launch a week long celebration of what was the Golden 101 CBS-FM. We'll have special airchecks posting and maybe a surprise or two. Here's a sneak peak at our schedule of events:

June 3 - 5:00PM - Format Change
June 3 - 7:00PM - Doug O'Brien reports about the format change on 1010 WINS
June 4 - 12:00AM - Dan Ingram on WCBS-FM - March 9, 1996
June 5 - 2:00PM - "Dandy" Dan Daniel; show turnover to Dan Taylor - December 11, 2002
...and plenty more!
