Subject: Everywhere I go, it's oldies music...

...or so it seems to me, anyway.

The last few times I've been out on a Friday, pretty much every band that's playing there is pretty much an oldies band.

It's 50s, 60s and 70s music and very very few tunes from the 80s, 90s and now.

People just love this music and the dance floor is always packed. It's not just the "old people," either -- it's a mixed crowd of 20s and up.

Sock hops are still popular out here, also -- I've gone to a few and it never fails: it's always a sellout.
